Sanz Serif, a makeshift nickname earned as a result of my typographic likes, is the umbrella under which I present the diverse facets of my work: academic research on architecture and urbanism, design speculations, graphic design, curatorial and editorial work, and writings developed individually or collaborately, in institutional settings or independently.

Current focus: Workscapes.

LTA / Plug 'n' Play

The site is located the distric of Fuencarral-El Pardo, in a new extension of Madrid with a banal layout, generic blocks, generic streets, generic housing buildings and no urban life at all. The kindergarten becomes the project of defining a generic public facility: a spatial, constructive and installations system, a hardware, whose rules, flexibility and possibility of transformation allows to install in it other public programs, softwares.
In this case, a kindergarten program is installed; it consist on a plane in continuity with the exterior patio and public space, in a way that, when the building is on, the street is virtually occupied, used and enjoyed, forcing a simulation of urban life.
